Mr Sechin, who is also the chairman of Russian oil major Rosneft, is leading an observer delegation at the 149th Meeting of the OPEC Conference.
Russia is proposing increased co-operation in the energy sector with the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), with focus on co-ordination, information exchange, market analysis and forecasting, reported the news source.
Mr Sechin said: We are putting forward an initiative to establish regular energy dialog between Russia and OPEC, the main goal of which will be to contribute to providing sustainable stability on the oil market in the interests of all participants.
