Under the contract worth SEK8m (€900,713), Saxlund will design and deliver a new reception area based on its floor discharger systems and storage.

The Saxlund equipment, which is expected to be delivered in February 2013, is designed for handling 25 tonnes per hour of shredded waste ‘RTU’ and/or waste wood chips to increase customer fuel flexibility.

O.Kay Engineering has received the overall contract from the plant owner SSE to provide a new fuel to boiler processing line at Slough Heat and Power.

Saxlund managing director Matt Drew said the latest contract will be the third time to install its equipment at Slough Heat and Power and is working with O.Kay Engineering to help SSE turn waste to energy.

"We provide technology that is instrumental in ensuring high availability, efficiency and flexibility for our customers.

"With extensive operations in Germany, the UK and Sweden and with some 60 years of experience, we can offer innovative and well-tested solutions within most applications," Drew added.
