The NRC staff reviewed the plan and found no safety issues to prevent issuing a license, reports Bloomberg.
Once the NRC’s review is complete later this year, Scana Corp will receive the construction and operating license to build the reactors.
Scana Corp planned to build the reactors using the AP1000 by Toshiba’s Westinghouse Electric unit.
