The leak which occurred in the plant’s Unit 3’s make-up water treatment system has been stopped and contained.
SCE said the leak occurred in the non-nuclear section of the plant and both its units are operating normally.
The company said about 30 gallons of leaked ammonia is being collected in a basin underneath the tank.
The company reported that no radioactive material was released and there was no danger to the public.
