Houston, Texas-based company Schlumberger’s subsidiary OneSubsea has secured a contract from Reliance Industries from India to supply subsea production system for a deepwater gas project in the country.

OneSubsea has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to supply the system for the R Cluster (Block KG-D6) Project, offshore of the east coast of India.

The scope of the project includes trees, subsea manifolds, control system, tie-in system, multi-phase meters, intervention tooling and test equipment for the R Cluster field. The scope of the contract also includes installation and commissioning support and life-of-field services.

There is an option for Reliance to award the supply of subsea production system for additional wells for the Satellite fields.

Schlumberger, OneSubsea, president Mike Garding said: “This award is a milestone as it is our first award from Reliance.

“We look forward to working with Reliance on the successful long-term development of the fields by designing, installing and supporting a subsea production system that reflects the strength of our integrated offering and leans on the proven reliability of our subsea controls.”

In July this year, OneSubsea has received an engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) contract for a subsea multiphase boosting system by TAQA for the Otter field in the UK North Sea.
