Seagreen Wind Energy is a joint venture partnership formed by SSE Renewables Developments (UK) and Fluor UK.

The company has filed a Proposal of Application Notice with Angus Council in the UK, which approved the route in December 2013, for an amendment in the vicinity of Balhungie Farm.

The new route, which is being proposed after feedback from the landowner, intends to avoid an area of polytunnels.

The proposed section will connect to the entire cable route between Carnoustie and Tealing.

A public consultation event is due to be held in Carnoustie on 27 August 2014 before a Planning in Principle Application is submitted to the council towards the end of September.

SSE and Fluor jointly developed the first of the Round 2 projects to be built including the 500MW Greater Gabbard Offshore wind farm.

Construction work on Greater Gabbard, which is located off the coast of Suffolk, was completed in 2012.
