Senvion USA will now service 95 wind turbines across two wind farms, Howard and Twin Ridges, for a further 15 years.

The 55 MW Howard wind farm, situated in Steuben County, New York, features 27 MM92 turbines with 80m hub heights.

The first 25 turbines were installed in 2011 and the next two came in 2012. The extension to the independent service provider (ISP) contract will run from March 2017 until 2032.

The 139MW Twin Ridges wind farm, located near the Maryland/Pennsylvania border, consists of 68 MM92 turbines with a mix of hub heights of 100 and 80 meters (in order to maximize yield).

The wind farm was installed in 2012. Senvion’s ISP contract has now been extended from March 2018 until 2033.

Senvion North America CEO Helmut Herold said the agreements demonstrate the ongoing collaborative partnership the companies have formed together.

“Senvion is also dedicated to working with the local community to make a strong, positive economic and social impact and these ISP agreements will further support this."

“With service teams across the country, and a spare parts facility in Portland, Oregon, Senvion USA has built up a strong operations and maintenance team and with this additional news, Senvion proves its ongoing commitment to the US market and the positive and long term employment opportunities the wind industry offers local communities.”

Senvion’s US unit, based in Denver, has installed 1.2GW across the country to date.
