Freasdail Wind Farm is located on the Kintyre Peninsula on the West Coast of Scotland. The wind farm will be built east of the A83 at Gartnagrenach and south of Whitehouse, in Argyll and Bute. The wind farm will have a total rated output of 22.55 megawatts (MW) and will produce enough electricity to power more than 12,000 homes each year. Senvion also concluded a five year maintenance contract with the option to extend for another five years.

The first turbines for the Freasdail Wind Farm are scheduled for delivery in autumn 2016, with precommissioning works starting in December 2016.

Raymond Gilfedder, Managing Director of Senvion Northern Europe, said: "We are delighted to be signing our second turbine contract with RES in the UK, building on what is a solid partnership between the two companies."

Roger Seshan, RES Supply Chain Director, commented: "We look forward to working with Senvion on the delivery of this important project and further developing our relationship with them. We are confident that Senvion will work with RES to continue our strong history of completing projects safely and on time."
