The company has also signed an agreement with the University of Oregon Athletics department to recycle cooking oil. The recycled oil will be used by the company to make SeQuential Pacific fuel.

Biodiesel made from used cooking oil is cleaner than petroleum diesel and is environmental friendly, as it emits up to 78% less carbon dioxide and other harmful gases.

SeQuential-made Biodiesel is sold to commercial and retail fuel distributors throughout Oregon and Washington. It is also available for purchase at the SeQuential Biofuels stations in Eugene, near the University of Oregon campus.

In 2013, the company expects to produce more than six million gallons of biodiesel.

University of Oregon marketing & public relations senior associate athletic director Craig Pintens said Oregon Athletics is committed to playing a leadership role in the university’s greening efforts.

"From individual offices to our complex of athletic venues, our staff, student-athletes, and supporters are making a difference for the environment. We are excited to be working with SeQuential Pacific Biodiesel to ensure that the waste oil generated by our athletics concessions will be put to good use for the environment as well as for the community," Pintens added.

SeQuential Pacific Biodiesel general manager Tyson Keever said 20 million gallons is a major milestone for them and a testament to the partnerships they work to foster between their team, customers and the community.

"We look forward to adding the University to our network and continuing to work together to build a new model for fuel production," Keever added.
