Siemens has agreed to deliver 87 units of 2.3MW turbine for Duke Energy Renewables’ 200MW Los Vientos I windpower project.
MHI will provide 84 units of 2.4MW turbine for the 202MW Los Vientos II windpower project.
Both sites, located in Willacy County, expect the first delivery of wind turbines by early June 2012.
Construction at both project sites will commence in December this year, with commercial operation of the wind farms anticipated by late 2012.
