eMeter will be part of the smart grid division of Siemens Infrastructure & Cities Sector, which is housed within Siemens Industry in the US.
The acquisition is expected to close this month, subject to necessary approvals and customary closing conditions.
Siemens Infrastructure & Cities Sector smart grid division CEO Jan Mrosik said the acquisition of eMeter will enable Siemens to expand its reach globally in the energy information and meter data management space.
