Siemens will configure, deliver and support the project development, which started in June.
Siemens’ MDMS enables WPPI Energy to use meter data to perform load forecasting and analysis, provide peak load management, develop new pricing programs and enable new demand response programs.
This implementation will be hosted on-site at the WPPI Energy facilities in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, and will be shared to support other member-owned utilities the company services.
The multi-organizational capabilities of eMeter EnergyIP enable Siemens to configure the MDMS to support the business processes of each WPPI Energy member utility.
Siemens said WPPI Energy will also be able to provide each utility with secure access to its own data in one highly cost-effective solution.
