Located near Moron de la Frontera in Andalucia, the Arenales parabolic trough power plant will have a capacity of 50MW and will generate enough energy to power about 50.000 Spanish households.
Under the contract, Siemens will supply 156 loops which include the mirrors and the UVAC receiver for the CSP plant.
The power project, which is expected to be commissioned by the end of 2013, is owned by RREEF Infrastructure (49%), Solar Millennium (26%) and OHL Industrial (25%).
