Under the contract, Siemens will provide 25 direct drive SWT-3.0-108 wind turbines and eight geared SWT-2.3-108 units.

The order also includes six years of service and maintenance. Commissioning of the project is planned for July 2015.

Siemens will manufacture the blades and geared nacelles for the turbines at its production facility in US.

Located near the city of San Juan de Marcona, the Tres Hermanas wind farm is the second project that Cobra Energia is executing with Siemens in Peru.

Siemens Energy wind power onshore Americas business chief executive Mark Albenze said, "This second order from Cobra Energia allows both of our companies to expand our wind power activities in a growing wind market.

"We are pleased to partner with Cobra Energia again to provide clean, renewable power to more than 90.000 households in Peru."
