Siemens, according to the contract, would supply compressors, the generator and heat recovery equipment, gas turbines and the main transformers to the power station.

The 750 MW facility on an average is anticipated to generate 4.5 billion kilowatt-hour (kWh) annually. The power station comes under the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Corporation invested Electrical System VI Project.

The owners of Nhon Trach 2 thermo-electric plant, which is constructed under the Independent Power Plant (IPP) form, include PetroVietnam, the VN Posts and Telecommunications Corp. (VNPT), the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), the Technology Development Company, the VN National Coal-Mineral Industry Group (Vinacomin) and 12 other companies who have a minor share.
