Sionix’ two MWTS will be deployed at a local government in Katsina State and at a cooperative housing project in Abuja.

The project will treat well and river water in a private housing development on about 172 acres that consists of 1,000 homes for the owners and their caretakers, a shopping center and a recreation center.

The purchase price for each MWTS will range from nearly $1.2 m without desalination to $2.3m with desalination, excluding installation, start-up, commissioning and training, depending on specific site conditions and completed chemical panels.

Sionix intends to complete formal purchase documentation by early 2012 and to complete deployment of the two units in the second quarter of next year.

Sionix said a joint venture is currently being negotiated to include additional projects in Nigeria and several neighboring countries in West Africa including Ghana, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Benin, Togo, and the Congo.

ANA through one of several government or private sources said that they are currently reviewing, will provide funding for the venture, which is expected to be finalized by mid-September 2011.

ANA is engaged in construction projects throughout West Africa and the Middle East.
