The company aims to either develop or acquire sufficient installed capacity to help support its gold and copper mining activities at Bronson Creek in the province. Surplus output would be sold, it said.
Skyline Gold said it has made water licence applications that would have the potential to provide a total of 72MW of installed capacity. It said that the plants should be able to generate 311GWh annually.
It added that the projects would need to operate all year round and storage for winter generation would be required. Potential storage sites are being studied.
