The solar power generation system will be placed on Shore Point’s corporate headquarters and central distribution location in Freehold, and will offset approximately 75% of the building’s annual electric load.

The solar array will be designed, engineered and constructed by US-based Solis Partners, and is expected to be complete in June of this year.

The system will consist of 5,732 Solyndra PV panels that will generate approximately 1,380,600kWh of electricity and eliminate more than 1,891,000 pounds of CO2 emissions annually.

Solis Partners managing director Jamie Hahn said the solar panels are being deployed in conjunction with a white cool roof system.

"The reflective roof will not only enhance the efficiency of the building envelope and increase energy savings, but will also increase the system’s overall solar production," Hahn said.

Solis Partners is a developer and integrator of commercial solar power systems.
