These solar power plants have been developed and implemented by Solon Solar Investments, a Solon subsidiary that specializes in planning large-scale power plant projects for financial investors.

The sale was made to financial investor Meinl International Power. This is reportedly the seventh investment that Meinl International Power has made in conventional and renewable energy, and encompasses power plants at a total of four locations in the Spanish mainland and the Balearic Islands.

The power plants are expected to produce enough energy per year to supply 5,000 households with electricity from renewable resources.
