The JV will be established in the Dzerzhinsk, Russia near SIBUR’s petrochemicals operations, 400km east of Moscow, to produce surfactants and oilfield process chemicals and meet the growing demand for the products in Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

Under the agreement, SIBUR will provide the JV with raw materials, production and logistics capabilities, and will help set up and develop the surfactants business in the oil and gas markets in Russia and CIS.

Business unit of Solvay, Novecare, will provide its expertise in surfactant technologies, formulations, market applications, and customer network for the establishment of Ruspav.

Ruspvav is expected to become operational in 2015.
