The facility will expand the company’s ability to better serve producers operating in the Eagle Ford Shale area.

The company is installing the new fractionator in Bonnie View in Refugio County, which will have an initial capacity of 11,500bpd of NGLs and could be expanded to 15,000bpd.

The fractionator is being built near Southcross Energy’s Woodsboro gas processing facility and its 135mmcf/d Gregory gas processing facility and fractionator.

The installation of the facilities is scheduled to be completed in July 2012.

Southcross will be capable of processing 335 million cubic feet of natural gas per day (mmcf/d) and fractionate 16,300 barrels per day (bpd) of NGLs.

The Woodsboro gas processing facility is under construction and will have a capacity of 200mmcf/d.

The new project also involves construction of pipelines which will interconnect the Woodsboro, Gregory and Bonnie View facilities, as well as NGL and residue gas outlets.

Southcross Energy chairman and CEO David Biegler said the new facilities will expand fractionation capacity and related infrastructure at our South Texas processing complex to alleviate a constrained NGL infrastructure environment.
