Sprout said that it has completed extensive research into the viability of solar parks in the European country and has decided that it would be a good strategic move for the company.

In particular, the company believes that the venture will offer an excellent opportunity to access incentives offered by both the European Union and the Greek government to develop solar power in Europe.

Sprout said that it is in the final stages of completing its business plan for the wind park scheme, and added that more information will be available after the company’s annual general meeting on June 21, 2007.

With our corporate mandate to source opportunities in the solar space it was a natural fit for the company to explore the establishment of solar parks here in Greece, commented Rick Walchuk president and CEO of Sprout Development.
