The project, located about 25km south of Inverness on the Dunmaglass Estate, is SSE’s highest wind farm.
The wind farm will now enter the testing and commissioning phase before producing electricity for the National Grid.
SSE said the site is an ideal location for a wind farm but its altitude posed various challenges with the weather during the construction phase.
SSE Dunmaglass project manager Jamie Meneely said: “We have been working on this project since 2013 and the team is delighted to have got the final turbine erected.
"At this altitude there has been a lot of weather related challenges, but we got through them safely and it’s great to see all the turbines finally in position. The team will continue to work hard over the coming months to complete the wind farm for Spring 2017.”
The project was acquired by SSE from RES in May 2013. Soon after, preconstruction works including the upgrade of 11km of tracks near the site began.
In 2014, work at the site began with the construction of 33 turbine bases and crane hardstandings along with cabling and drainage works.
The wind farm is anticipated to be fully operational by next spring.
