The project is one of the largest in-campus solar power projects in the state of Tamil Nadu and will reduce the customer’s electricity costs and CO2 emissions significantly. The solar park is estimated to generate 7,500MWh of renewable energy per year.

The solar park is a milestone project for SBSS where innovative design helped overcome technical challenges faced to set up such a large project within an operating factory. The project has also been completed with an excellent HSE record.

Statkraft BLP Solar Solutions has previously commissi, oned several roof-top and ground mounted projects, including a 5MW open access solar plant in Tumkur District, Karnataka.
