The MB Clearfork Unit #16 infill well will also test the undeveloped Lower Clearfork Shale, a deeper formation.

The MB Clearfork Project in Martin County spans 7,500 contiguous acres and currently produces oil at a rate of 100 barrels per day (Bbd) from the Middle Clearfork Formation.

The well is being drilled to a total planned depth of 8,100 feet to log and obtain sidewall cores from the Lower Clearfork Shale in 10 to 15 days.

This information will be used to assess the production potential of the Lower Clearfork Shale that has been independently assessed to contain original-oil-in-place of 1.35 billion barrels of oil across the project area.

The well will then be cased and completed as a conventional production well within the Middle Clearfork Formation at a depth of 7,300 feet.

Strike holds a 25% interest in the MB Clearfork Project, which is operated by Houston-based Torch Energy Advisors.
