The company has already started supplying the renewable electricity from the project to San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), under a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA).

The 150-acre plant, which will be managed by the SunEdison Renewable Operation Center (ROC), includes around 75,000 Silvantis monocrystalline solar PV modules placed on AP90 single axis trackers that maximise energy harvest.

Silvantis Modules are produced using SunEdison polysilicon and wafers in a bid to boost reliability and performance.

SunEdison North America president Bob Powell said the largest solar power plant is interconnected through the California RAM program online.

"We are fortunate to work with Wells Fargo, a committed finance partner, which shares our vision for increasing the availability of renewable energy," Powell added.
