As part of the agreement, SunPower will offer its high efficiency solar power systems at 200 Meritage Homes communities, and thus both providing energy efficiency and solar power solutions to Meritage Homes homebuyers.
SunPower will provide its solar technology to communities across the nation starting in California, Texas and North Carolina and will work with Meritage Homes sales personnel and homebuyers to provide training, marketing and education on the latest offer.
Meritage Homes vice president of environmental affairs C.R. Herro said with the cost of solar power lower than ever, homeowners who choose solar-powered homes will receive compelling annual savings on electricity.
