The company will construct a 1.1MW SunPower T0 Tracker system at the district’s Senga Doherty Pump Station in Murrieta, California.

SunPower will also build a 610kW solar parking canopy structure at RCWD’s headquarters in Temecula, California.

Construction of the two solar systems is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

RCWD will own the renewable energy credits associated with the systems, which will be funded with qualified energy conservation bonds (QECBs) issued by the state of California.

The QECBs are designed to provide low-interest financing to promote the use of renewable energy in state, local and tribal government facilities.
