The total capacity of 30MW will produce sufficient energy to power around 7,500 homes in the state, according to the company.

Sunrise Energy Ventures managing director Dean Leischow said the company will be developing the largest cumulative power project in the Midwest.

"The energy generated at these sites is equal to the amount needed to power 7,500 homes," Leischow added.

Under a 15-year power purchase agreement, IPL will buy the electricity generated from all the three solar projects.

Sunrise Energy is currently operating 2.9MW facility in New Mexico with an additional capacity of 2.5MW being developed and has developed a 5.2MW project in North Carolina.

US based Sunrise Energy Ventures develops, owns and operates commercial to industrial scale solar photovoltaic equipments.
