Suntech in Europe vice president sales and marketing Vedat Gurgeli said this 255-watt panel is around 5% more powerful than the industry average and offers one of the best price to performance ratios in the market.

"With ongoing innovation, we are targeting to increase the nominal power output of this solar panel to 260 watts in the near future," Gurgeli said.

The 255W polycrystalline module features 0/+5% positive power tolerance and can withstand all weather conditions, including 3.800 Pascal wind load and 5.400 Pascal snow loads, which the company says is well above IEC standard requirements.

The new module has been certified according to the IEC 61701 standard salt mist corrosion test.
