Located in the Chek Kang village, the power project is expected to be completed in the middle of this year.

The solar plant will generate around 20,000MWh of renewable electricity per year to help facilitate sustainable economic development in Tibet.

According to the company, the new facility is expected to alleviate peak power shortages and serve as a strong complement to existing hydroelectric resources.
