Under the contract, signed with undisclosed small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) and public sector undertaking (PSU) customers, Suzlon will deliver 50 wind turbine generators of its 2.1MW S9X product suite.

The company is set to install the turbines its multi-megawatt S95-90m, S97- 90m, S97-120m turbines at several low wind speed sites in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Suzlon will also be responsible for overseeing the project operations.

In 2014, Suzlon announced its plan to construct 2,000MW of new wind energy projects in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh aimed at generating sustainable economic growth.

Suzlon currently has more than 14,000MW of installed wind capacity in 19 countries.
