As part of the order, Suzlon will deliver 23 units of the company’s S88-2.1MW wind turbine to be installed at the power porject.
The wind power project in Andhra Pradesh is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of next year.
The electricity generated by the 48.3MW power project will be sold to the local power utility.
Suzlon chairman and managing director Tulsi Tanti said this is Indian Oil’s second project with the company.
Indian Oil, in collaboration with Suzlon, developed its first 21MW wind power project in the Kutch district of Gujarat, and the project came on line in January 2009.
