This order represents Suzlon’s first wind turbine order in Romania and is deemed a major addition to the company’s expanding global footprint.
In addition, Suzlon and Martifer have also signed a contract for the supply of nine S88 turbines between the Baiao and Vila Franca de Xira wind farms in Portugal for a total 18.9MW of capacity. These orders are also the first supply of Suzlon wind turbines to Martifer.
Antonio Pontes, CEO of Martifer Energy Systems, said: We are very happy to have formalized the acquisition of the first Suzlon turbines for Martifer. We are confident this is the first of many orders and that in the future we will be able to extend the special relationship we have with Suzlon to other markets.
