Suzlon Gujarat Wind Park (SGWPL) will develop and provide single-window services to customers investing in the project, facilitating permits and regulatory clearances, land, basic services and infrastructure. For Suzlon, it is a part of the normal operating working capital and will not result in any incremental capital outlay.

According to the company, the memorandum of understanding (MoU) builds on the friendly investment climate for the wind sector created by the recent ‘Amendment of the Wind Policy 2007’ initiative announced by the government of Gujarat.

Earlier in September 2008, Suzlon said that it secured a contract with Martifer for the delivery of 29 S88 – 2.1 MW turbines, totaling a capacity of 60.9 MW, to projects in Romania. In addition, Suzlon and Martifer also signed a contract for the supply of nine S88 turbines between the Baiao and Vila Franca de Xira wind farms in Portugal for a total 18.9 MW of capacity.
