The company holds acreage positions in the Wattenberg field, due to which it anticipates participating in the drilling of up to ten horizontal wells in the next five months targeting the Codell and Niobrara formations.
Swan Energy exploration director John Herring said, "Typical estimated ultimate recoveries (EUR) for the targeted formations range are between 300,000 – 600,000 barrels of oil equivalent per well."
The oil and gas firm said it is continuing its long-term commitment to the acquisition, exploration and development of natural gas fields and domestic oil in petroleum-rich areas throughout the US.
