We cannot count on the traditional sources of energy supplies. The world should count on the renewable sources of energy. And we, citizens, should think what we will leave to our offsprings, Lytvyn said.

Lytvyn said that Ukraine is interested in cooperation with Sweden in this sector, noting that the current meeting will help bringing the cooperation with Sweden on a new level.

The ambassador reminded that the Swedish government has recently passed the strategy of cooperation with Ukraine in energy sector for the next five years, which involves two trends: that of effective use of energy and the environment protection.

Swedish Energy Association Director General Jorgen Andersson said that the Swedish companies, working in this sector are ready to realize the so-called Yellow-Blue project: the project on energy saving and construction of the enterprises on the recycling of domestic garbage and biogas production.

BiogasProm is also ready to involve the funds of the European Bank for reconstruction and development to the implementation of energy projects in Ukraine, Andersson said noting the importance of the formation of legal basis for their introduction.
