Located in the Wattenberg Field, the well started drilling on 30 July. The company said drilling eight new wells is in progress and scheduled to be completed by the end of September.

During the course of its 2012 drilling program, Synergy Resources expects to have drilled a total of 51 wells. By August-end, the firm will have about 207 gross wells and 159 net wells.

The company plans to commence production on 16 recently drilled and operated wells during the fourth quarter of fiscal 2012.

Synergy Resources president and CEO Ed Holloway said the firm is pleased about its recent accomplishments and future prospects as it continue to pursue its development and drilling program.

"Drilling 51 wells in our current drilling program demonstrates our ability to execute on an aggressive plan, and provides momentum for our fiscal 2013 operations," Holloway added.
