The project includes drill testing five separate high priority graphite and iron targets in the country and all the 19 drill holes have successfully intersected the targeted graphite.

The company will now shift to the Masugnsbyn iron ore deposit and Raitajärvi graphite deposit for similar tests.

Talga Gold managing director Mark Thompson said the achievement highlights north Sweden as a quality jurisdiction for the operation of mineral projects.

"At this early stage we have every reason to be confident that our targets for upgrading the size and status of this high-grade graphite resource will be realised," Thompson added.

The company intersected graphite mineralization outside the existing resource model over the eastern extension and has increased the deposit model strike length from 700m to 1200m and the vertical extent to 150m depth indicating potential upgrade in the new resource estimate.

The samples collected from the graphite project will submitted for comprehensive analysis and metallurgical test work once they are processed. The results of the analysis and test work will be used to update the estimation of deposit resource and start the preliminary economic study.
