The increase in mineralization resulted from 28 diamond drill holes for 3,666m. Also, the drilling program has increased the strike length to 650m from 300m.

Further, the company recorded several holes as future growth targets after testing the central and eastern limbs, each intersecting graphite mineralization, reported Proactive Investors.

Talga’s drilling program was aimed at a part of a 3,000m long multi-limbed electromagnetic anomaly. Earlier Swedish geological survey had intercepted predominantly coarse flake graphite and defined a JORC inferred mineral resource of 0.5 million tons at 10.8% graphitic carbon.

Meanwhile, the company has sent the drill samples to the laboratory and it expects assay results from the first 10 holes in May 2013.

Talga is seeking approval for a new exploration license of about 14 km2 over the current license to cover potential strike extensions of the deposit.
