The operator of the G1/48 concession is Mubadala Petroleum.
The 9.5m of net oil pay has been interpreted in reservoir quality sandstone within the primary target between 2,396m t 2,412m, after completing the wireline logging operations at the well.
Malida-1 has been drilled to a total depth of 3,115m measured depth and a comprehensive wireline logging programme has been undertaken in the well, including wireline pressure testing and sampling.
The joint venture has decided to plug and abandon Malida-1 and conduct a sidetrack well, Malida-1 ST1(A), in order to test a separate structure adjacent to the structure tested by Malida-1.
