The Malida-1 is located in the G1/48 concession, around 5km northeast of the Manora oil development, while Mubadala Petroleum is the operator of G1/48.
The well is expected to take around18 days for drilling, which commenced drilling on 15, November 2013.
Mubadala Petroleum, which operates G1/48, intends to test for the development of the main Miocene age interval of the Manora oil bearing sands in an independent fault dependent structure, east of the Manora field.
The company intends to drill to the121/4 casing point, prior to drilling ahead to the 9 casing point and then to final total depth.
