Pathum-1 well is the company’s third and final well in 2012 Gulf of Thailand exploration drilling program.
Located in the G3/48 concession within the southern Sattakut Basin, the well was drilled using jack-up rig ENSCO 85 in shallow water.
The well reached a total depth of 2,642m MDRT, during the testing phase that started on 17 December and ended on 19 December 2012.
During the drilling which also includes a full suite of logging, the well did not encounter any significant hydrocarbons reserve.
Tap Oil is expected to spend about $2.2m, of which 30% is participating interest and 10% is NGP carry, on the Pathum-1 well exploration.
