The company was awarded this contract by Samsung Heavy Industries Co and will provide detailed design, procurement engineering and follow-on engineering support for the Valemon fixed platform topsides.
The contract will be executed by Technip’s operating center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and will be completed in 2012.
The Valemon field contains recoverable reserves of approximately 206 million barrels of oil equivalent.
France-based Technip is a provider of project management, engineering and construction services for the energy industry.
