The company will provide the services at Laila field located 50km northwest of Miri at water depth of 75m and at D12 field situated 140km offshore Bintulu, Malaysia at water depth of 50m.
Under the contract, Technip will provide design, fabrication and installation services for 5km and 10km flexible pipes with 7in and 12.8in diameter respectively.
The company will also perform diver installation of riser clamps at both jacket platforms, pre-commission the flowlines, and provide project management services.
Technip’s operating center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, will carry out the contract and its Asiaflex Products plant, in Tanjung Langsat, will be used to manufacture the flexible flowlines.
The company’s new-built multipurpose installation and construction vessel, the Deep Orient, will be used for the installation services.
