As part of the deal, Technip will supply about 100km of flexible pipes for oil production, gas lift, and gas injection for both the projects.

The company will also supply related equipment for the pre-salt area, to be installed on the floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) units, Cidade de Angra dos Reis and Cidade de Ilhabela.

The engineering and project management will be performed by the Technip’s operating center located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Technip Subsea executive vice president and COO Frédéric Delormel said the developing of a pre-salt field requires strong innovation.

"At Technip, we strive to ensure this technological excellence and continually improve high reliability, generating value for the energy industry," Delormel added.
