Under the contract, the requirements and design specifications of the main man-machine interfaces (MMI) of the reactor will be revised: control room consoles and panels, supervision and control displays, local control stations and the alarms management system.
Additionally, their compliance with the international HFE guidelines will be verified.
The Central Argentina de Elementos Modulares – Argentinean Modular Elements Plant (CAREM) project is based on an integrated Generation IV nuclear power reactor for power generation.
Currently, the CNEA is proceeding with the CAREM 25 project, a 25 MW prototype that will be used for experimentation for developing the future 100MW CAREM modular installations in Argentina.
The CAREM-25 is being built at a site adjacent to the Atucha nuclear power plant in Lima, 110km northwest of Buenos Aires.
