The new EV charging network is spread across Lyngdal, Aurland, Dombås, Gol, Cinderella and Lillehammer in the country.

Tesla noted that the new Superchargers represent an advanced charging technology in the world and are capable of charging Model S 20x faster than most common charging stations.

According to the company, the charging units provide half a charge in about 20 minutes and deliver around 120KW DC power directly to the Model S battery using special cables that bypass the onboard charging equipment.

Tesla designs and manufactures EVs, as well as EV powertrain components for partners such as Toyota and Daimler.
