Drilled to a depth of 681m (2,234ft), the AKK20 exploration well’s hydrocarbon shows and electric logs signify the hydrocarbons presence within the target.

The well is located around 4.4km north of the AKK15 well, which identified a gas-bearing interval within the Tasaran which tested gas at a stable rate of approximately 195,000 cubic metres (7 million cubic feet or 1,167 barrels oil equivalent) per day.

Currently, production casing is underway while the well will undergo flow testing as part of a comprehensive testing program alongside AKK17, AKK18 and AKK19 which will commence later this month.

The company will submit the program to the State Committee for Reserves for the wells to be included into the existing Akkulka production contract.
