The new EV charging stations, which are manufactured by Coulomb Technologies, will provide free charging services of nearly four hours per EV per day.
The charging stations are part of the ChargePoint America Program administered by the Department of Energy, which provided a grant for the EV station equipment.
All EV drivers are allowed to access the EV charging stations, managed by the ChargePoint Network.
The charging stations will also enable drivers to check the real-time status and location of unoccupied charging stations and track and report greenhouse gas and gasoline savings.
Drivers can receive charging status notifications by SMS, email or smart phone (iPhone and Blackberry) applications.
